Synch has advised Swedish AI company Ordo Labs in connection with its entry into Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 cohort. Y Combinator is one of the world’s most prestigious startup accelerators for early-stage technology companies, providing access to a global network of founders, investors, and industry partners. In connection herewith, Ordo Labs receives an investment from Y Combinator of approx. 5 MSEK.
Ordo Labs’ admission to Y Combinator marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey. Synch’s engagement included legal advice relating to Ordo Labs’ international expansion, with a particular focus on corporate structuring and cross-border legal considerations. Furthermore, Synch has assisted Ordo Labs to raise capital in a closed round with an external group of prominent investors. The investment amount is not disclosed.
Ordo Labs develops an AI-powered workspace for regulated laboratories, designed to automate the path from raw instrument data to signed, compliance-ready reports. The company does not develop drugs itself but instead, it provides the platform where regulated lab work is carried out, built for the industry’s strict regulatory frameworks from the ground up. Founded at KTH by product lead Kristina Hoang, Sebastian Apelgren and Adam Tovatt, and supported by KTH Innovation, Ordo Labs is already live in paid pilots with contract research organisations in Sweden and abroad. The company’s longer-term ambition is to accelerate drug development by streamlining the regulated lab work that underpins it.
The project was led by Sofia Tångelin and Matilda Kinnerfors.
