Synch Copenhagen and Integra law firms are merging

The Danish tech-focused law firms Synch and Integra in Copenhagen are merging with effect as of 1 January 2020. The merger will strengthen the position of the merged law firm in the Nordics.

More power to execute, increased access to digital legal solutions and more legal specialists. Private and public businesses and organisations will reap the benefits of the merger of Synch and Integra. Both law firms have in recent years built capable and business-minded legal teams within the fields of technology, digital business and legal tech. The merged firm will continue under the Synch name and will consolidate and strengthen its position as the Nordic tech-law firm with legal, commercial and technical competences particularly of relevance to businesses and transactions within the TMT (technology, media and telecom) area.

”The knowledge, experience and focus on technology of our new colleagues make them a perfect match for Synch and the vision of Synch. I also see that our fundamental values coincide completely, and this exactly will ensure that we can realize our vision and has been a decisive factor for our decision to merge”, says Michael Brandt of Synch.

Power to execute and competences

With the merger of Integra and Synch, the new Synch will be able to offer clients highly specialized legal advice from 15 legal specialists in Copenhagen. With Synch’s other offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Palo Alto, which have a total of 30 specialists and lawyers, the expansion in Copenhagen will strengthen both the accessibility and the total power to execute for all clients. The clients of Synch include everything from big international companies to local startups.

“It has been crucial to us that we with a merger with Synch would be able to give our clients an international context and colleagues with strong legal competences, and who share our focus, interests and engagement with technology companies and technology in general. The merger with Synch will enable to assist our clients with developing their business even more than before”, says Kim G. Hansen, lawyer at Integra.

Focus on legal tech solutions for clients

The new Synch will continue to develop legal tech solutions, which Integra and Synch have developed as part of they services. Already today the solutions include the use of artificial intelligence, which gives the clients the possibility to effectively handle GDPRP-documents, digital services, which gives clients access to portals for board of directors, contract management, tools for due diligence, and a number of forms and standard agreements.

The employees of the two law firms will work from the new common offices at Strandvejen 58, Hellerup near Copenhagen.
