SYNCH AND WESTERMARK ANJOU MERGE

The law firms Synch and Westermark Anjou merge under the Synch brand. The focus will continue to be on tech and digital business, while the offer is broadened.
The merger means that Westermark Anjou adds expertise in Synch’s existing core areas, but also strengthens our offer within capital market law.
“The vision we have had of following our clients from the start, through exits and further in the companies’ life cycle will now be possible. Westermark Anjou has the expertise we were looking for to broader our offering, says Jim Runsten, CEO of Synch.”
Synch and Westermark Anjou recently collaborated on a joint project in which the two law firms assisted Eniro AB in a new issue of preference shares.
“We discovered early in our collaboration that we complemented each other in terms of competence, but also that we had a consensus on both values and the way we want to run a law firm,” says Jim Runsten.
Westermark Anjou has chosen to merge with Synch and create a foundation for continued growth.
“Synch has made an impression on the law firm market with its clear focus and courage to think new. We share values and views on the importance of diversification and sustainability, and it is positive for both our clients and employees, says Mattias Anjou, founder and co-owner of Westermark Anjou.”
Synch currently consists of approximately 50 employees, of which 30 in Stockholm and 20 in Copenhagen. The merger with Westermark Anjou adds another ten employees, including nine lawyers, to the office in Stockholm. The merger will take place on January 1, 2021. Jim Runsten, current CEO of Synch, will continue to be CEO of the company.
