SYNCH HAS ACTED AS LEGAL ADVISOR TO THE CROATIAN MEDICINES VERIFICATION ORGANISATION (HOPAL)
Synch has acted legal advisors to the Croatian Medicines Verification Organisation, HOPAL, regarding the structuring, negotiation and execution of the Croatian National Blueprint Agreement.
Synch’s Danish team was led by Henrik Duedahl Høyer.
Synch assisted HOPAL in the negotiations of selecting an IT Service Provider to develop and implement the Croatian Medicines Verification System (CMVS). The implementation of the CMVS is in direct response to the growing problem of falsified medicines with Europe. The Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD; Directive 2011/62/EU) published by the European Parliament and the European Commission states that each eligible medicinal product must have a unique identifier and tamper-evident seal to allow for the authentication of each medicine pack at the point of dispensing. A European Delegated Act was passed in February 2016, which requires the full implementation of the European Medicines Verification System by February 2019.
Synch is proud to have assisted HOPAL and other national medicines verification organizations around Europe.
“Synch provided a pragmatic, business-oriented approach. Henrik Høyer provided commercial result driven advice and counsel of key legal issues and contributed actively to strategic thinking and decision making for HOPAL and our stakeholders”, says Maja Drašković, HOPAL’s Chairman of the board.
Synch is a law firm focused on digital business and technology targeting the market with a blended delivery model where digital services complement the advisory services and the managed legal services.
