Robotics
The use of robotics is constantly increasing, and during the past months the use of drones has been in focus. The challenges of applying existing laws to this new technology will be discussed when some of the most experienced persons within robotics meet at Synch on 17 September 2015. Chris Holder is an experienced IT lawyer and partner at the London law firm Bristows. He is now one of the first lawyers in the UK to be focusing on Robotics as a separate legal area and has advised clients on issues relating to driverless car battery technology and the use of drones. Chris will discuss what a robot is, how the use of this new technology will affect the way we interact with machines and with each other and how the law will need to develop in order to be prepared for these new ways of working rather than playing catch up, as so often has been the case in the past. More info to come.
